Bulls player Alex Richardson-Bell had nothing but praise for his side following the match.

"It was tough, I mean it was always going to be tough with the two top teams coming together but I thought the boys probably played the best they have all season," he said.

"We pulled together pretty well, the boys who came off the bench made a big impact which was nice."

"They scored two goals so we had to come back in the last 10-15 [minutes] or so but they scored two pretty unlucky goals."

Richardson-Bell was impressed with the work of the Bulls midfielders who pressed all game long.

"The work in the midfield from the those boys Tommy [Busch], Kane [Settree] and Kobe [Rapley] they were putting balls up front and I was lucky to get the second one." he said.

A cold Saturday night did not stop the Dubbo side who struck early after Richardson-Bell produced a long throw-in which Gareth Williams volleyed home in the 10^th minute.

Waratahs had the bulk of possession for the remainder of the first half which paid off as midfielder Ryan Sinclair found the back of the net to level the scores heading into half time.

Bulls co-captain James Leonard was given a yellow card early in the second half before Trent French scored the Orange sides second goal of the match.

Sinclair and Dubbo's Tom Mckeon were also shown yellow cards but Richardson-Bell capitalised on an error from Orange keeper Adam Brackenridge to level the scores at 2-all with seven minutes left.

Neither side had a chance to score late as fulltime blew.

Sinclair felt the game was Orange's to win but was more than happy to take the draw.

"Come out of his box, missed it, disappointing, 2-1 up, we had a good 10-15 minute period," he said.

"We had them on toast, just needed to bury them really, just a bit of a momentum switch, they got back into the game a little bit and come the goal, but yeah, draw's not a bad result, going up there, their crowd, pretty vocal."

Sinclair also admitted they expected nothing less from the Bulls side then what they saw and knows Waratahs can still improve.

"Nothing surprised us, knew they were going to be quick and strong through the midfield, in saying that, Jack and Adam Kelly did a good job in middle, keeping them at bay," he said.

"We didn't play our best but could have done enough to win, what I've seen, they're definitely one of the best teams in the comp, definitely he hardest game we've played this year."

Bulls sit just a point behind Waratahs and Sinclair hopes they can win games on the road going forward.

"Take every game as it comes, just make sure we're getting the result, getting points out of every game moving forward," he said.

"I think that'll be the key, we're sitting fairly pretty half way through the season, good start, had a fair few home games, that does help, points on the road last couple of weeks."
