If you think you can possibly re-live 2020's mix of disruption and uncertainty, this exhibition will take you there through some of the best political cartoons from around the country. Developed by the Museum of Australian Democracy, the travelling exhibition was officially opened in Dubbo by cartoonist Cathy Wilcox. From Saturday June 5 to Sunday June 13. 10am to 4pm. Comedy night
Two shows
You can catch Daniel Townes and Jacques Barrett in Dubbo on Thursday, June 10 or in Wellington on Friday, June 11. Townes will bring sharp one-liners, savage social commentary and dark-but-hilarious tales of his own failings, alongside international headliner Jacques Barrett, who has 12 years of experience on the world comedy and festival circuit. NSW under 13 rugby championships
This weekend
For the first time Dubbo will play host the the junior championships, with an expected 750 players coming from NSW Country Zones, as well as Sydney District, the ACT and Melbourne. Friday, June 11 to SUnday, June 13. APex Oval, Dubbo.

Gaming
If board and table-top games are more your style, then this weekend the city will also host DubCon. This convention will feature old favourites and new challenges. Bring your own games, try games others have bought along; buy them for yourself. Saturday, June 12 to Monday, June 14. Historic rail ride
All aboard
For those who like their train travel old school, Transport Heritage NSW's historic Locomotive 3801 will return to Dubbo next month. Book a ride in the beautifully restored carriages when the train runs from on an hour-long trip from Dubbo Railway Station towards and back. Regional Sessions

This is a first-of-its-kind workshop for aspiring songwriters to go up a gear in creativity and technique, garner inspiration and motivation, foster connections and learn skills from some of the greats. The Regional Sessions will have Australian folktronica singer/songwriter Sophie Payten, known professionally as Gordi, as keynote speaker and workshop mentor, along with songwriter panel members L-FRESH the LION, Sally Seltmann, Ilan Kidron and Alex Lahey. A dinner for men to hear about some of the health issues they need to focus on. Three-course meal plus two speakers - Bruno Efotyi, who founded Tradies in Sight after witnessing effects on mental health among regional tradesmen, and Tom Robertson, a former Dubbo junior who went on to higher honours playing for Australia. Sam Buckingham is touring her new album, "Something More". Known for her soul-baring acoustic performances, her new show now includes live looping and sampling. Moon in a Dew Drop
Exhibition
This exhibition will introduce audiences to works from across Australian-Chinese artist, Lindy Lee's, extensive career. Lee uses an array of processes, including flinging molten bronze, burning paper and allowing the rain to transform surfaces. On display at the Western Plains Cultural Centre, 76 Wingewarra Street, Dubbo. From Saturday, May 22 to August 1, 10am to 4pm.
