Team leaders Sara Kiel, Clair Stiff and Charlie Hooper say they enjoy being able to participate at shows as it provides students with "a wide range of opportunities" and enables them to network with adults within the industry.
The team showcased their Shorthorn Heifers, which are provided to the school by Polldale Shorthorns Stud for their use, over three days.
The teams heifer, Polldale Fancy led by Jack Taylor, took out the Grand Champion Female in the Junior Heifer Show out of more than 40 heifers.
The team also had success in the Paraders Competition with Max Taylor taken out Champion Junior Parader, Tom Hooper taking out Champion Sub Intermediate Parader and Charlie Hooper taking out Champion Intermediate Parader, ASC State Finalist.
For the Breed Classes the team took out Junior Champion Shorthorn Bull, Grand Champion Shorthorn Bull, Junior Champion Shorthorn Female, Senior Champion Shorthorn Female, Reserve Senior Champion Shorthorn Female, Grand Champion Shorthorn Female, Champion Shorthorn Breeders Group and Most Successful Shorthorn Exhibitor.
The last competition was for the Junior Heifer Show with herdsman ribbons having been awarded to Champion Sub-Intermediate Herdsman Tom Hooper and Champion Intermediate Herdsman Charlie Hooper who also landed Champion Open Herdsman.
The Macquarie Cattle Team was also presented a ribbon for Best Presented Cattle Stall.
Macquarie Anglican Grammar School Cattle Show Team teacher Brook Taylor said the students effort was a result of long hours, hard work and dedication.
"It's a big thing for a school to be able to offer its students opportunities to present at shows across various locations," Mrs Taylor said.
"It teaches them teamwork, leadership and communication skills and enables them to form powerful connections with elite people within the industry. It takes a lot of dedication from the students. It's a high level of expectation and it's long hours."
The students spend multiple hours after school working on their heifers.
Mrs Taylor said the team took away good results from various shows across the region each year. "We would also like to thank Polldale Shorthorns Stud for their support," she said.
The team will present at the annual show in Warren next.
