Dubbo was selected as one of several rural locations to host the event by event organiser Rural Adversity Mental Health Program (RAMHP) together with Ms Schneider.
Ms Schneider, an advocate for mental health and ambassador for RAMHP, is no exception to the woes of mental ill-health.
In fact, several of the iconic singers' songs are written about her experiences with self-acceptance and self-care, including her song 'Being Gentle on Yourself.'
"For me, 'Being Gentle on Yourself' means learning to stop self-judgment and treating myself with the same unconditional love I give my child," Ms Schneider said.
She said the journey to loving yourself unconditionally was not one in which came easily, but it could come in time and with daily practice.
"I'm a work-in-progress," she admitted.
Another fiercely passionate guest to feature in Dubbo is event MC, author, writer and award-winning journalist Jen Cowley.
Ms Cowley has worked extensively in the media across several platforms and is a former editor and columnist.
Local RAMHP coordinator Camilla Herbig will also host a segment that defines the meaning of wellbeing and self-care, what each entails and how we can find more ways of being gentle with ourselves.
Ms Herbig said given that the event was free, residents should take advantage of it by coming along.
"[It] is a great opportunity for people to come and reflect on what wellbeing looks like for them and if there are things they can do or change to increase it," she said.
"We will also have a Q and A session where people can ask questions. The event is free and open to everyone."
Participants from Dubbo and surrounding areas are being called to attend, enjoy a coffee, take some time out, listen to Ms Schneider's own personal story while enjoying live music and reflect on what it means to be 'gentle on yourself.
Light refreshments will be available and bookings are essential. The event will be held at the Dubbo RSL Club on Sunday, June 20 from 10am.
