KEELAN Bresac came to Bathurst Panthers this season looking to just carve out a spot on the wing for himself and help the defending Group 10 premier league champions keep up their winning ways.
But not only has Bresac helped his club side go undefeated through the first three games of the season he's earned another place in the Group 10 representative side ahead of Saturday's representative battle at Lithgow.
The former Lithgow Workies star made the shift to centre for the Panthers following an injury to Blake Lawson and has since been a major factor in the Bathurst team's scintillating start to the year.
He's one of five Panthers players selected in the Group 10 representative team alongside Jeremy Gordon, Jed and Jake Betts, Nick Loader and Jeremy Gordon, while St Pat's backs Tyler Colley and Mitch Squire have also earned their spot.
Bresac's no stranger to Group 10 selection, having achieved the feat multiple times with Workies, but always appreciates every chance he gets to have a crack against Group 11 rivals.
"It's been great with Panthers. They're a good bunch of boys who have all been nice and welcoming, and they've been great to be around.
"I'd joined up not long before the knockout. My partner [Shannon Legge] wanted to come up here to play with the girls so I thought that I might as well come up with her.
"I was probably down to play wing at the start then obviously Blake Lawson got injured so I've slotted into centre and that's been going alright."
Bresac and Gordon lock out the starting centre roles - a testament to how dominant the pair have been on their respective edges to start the 2021 season.
They'll each have CYMS speedsters Lachie Munro and Addison Williams to their outside.
Colley will be joined by Hawks' Toby Westcott in the halves and Jed Betts gets his shot at starting prop.
"It's great having Jez at the opposite centre and it's great to see Jake and Jed there. Nick's a great player to run off. He brings a lot of speed and agility around the ruck," Bresac said.
