The Cowboys produced a dominant second half effort at Cale Oval in a perfect response to last round's 42-16 loss at the hands of Dubbo CYMS.
The speed of the Cowboys' attack and their willingness to produce offloads and an extra pass was key in the win and the victorious captain-coach is adamant his side can still get a lot better.
"We're nowhere near where we need to be at the moment," Toomey-White fired after the win.
"We're still finding ourselves. We've got a new spine and a new team from two years ago and we're just taking it week-by-week and those combinations are coming together.
"We're nowhere near there yet but we're on the right track."

Toomey-White scored his first try since the 2018 season late on in one of the real highlights of the match while Corey Cox landed a double and five-eighth Mason Williams had a day out as he scored one try and kicked a perfect nine-from-nine with the boot.
Most of those successful conversions came in the second half after the Cowboys had produced a scrappy start on the way to leading 18-12 at the break.
The Jets went into the match without co-captain-coach Chad Jacobson, fullback Ratu Roko, and Luke Thompson through injury and the casualty list filled more as Sunday's contest went on.
An arm injury to Jacobson's fellow captain-coach Ryan Richardson was among the blows and the Jets finished the match with vastly depleted bench.
The Jets had earlier shown real determination but after scoring both their tries in the first half the hosts allowed the Cowboys to regather the ball from the ensuing kick-off and work their way down the field to score twice through Cox.
"It's something that we can take from it, the way we played in the first half," Jets hooker Isaac Thompson said when looking for positives.
"We had a few injuries going into the second half. I think we had one person left on the bench and he'd played reggies before this so numbers and a bit of fitness let us down.
"They're key men (unavailable). Ratu has been amazing for us but unfortunately got injured and the same goes for Thommo. He's just a big body that can attract a lot of defenders and we play off the back of that so it would be good to have him back for CYMS."
Thompson was a standout for the Jets and has provided his side will real direction since arriving while Alex Marr provided impact off the bench and scored one of his side's tries.
The Jets were well in the contest at the break but just four minutes after the restart Dennis Moran - who produced another masterful showing at dummyhalf - opted to run it on the fifth tackle before throwing a perfect cut-out ball to EJ Fernando, who steamrolled the defence on his way to scoring in the corner.
Just five minutes later Brock Naden made a break on the right edge and put winger Liam Brodrick over untouched and from there it was virtually one-way traffic as the confidence of the Cowboys began to shine.
The intensity dropped off in the final 10 minutes but there was still time for Toomey-White to burst through a hole and run 40m to score under the posts while Williams got his deserved four-pointer right on the full-time siren.
"That's the first try in two years or so," Toomey-White said of his effort with a smile.
"I said to the boys I just wanted to get that one out of the way but it felt good out on the field."
All sides enjoy a general bye next weekend as the NRL match between South Sydney and Penrith will be played at Apex Oval and following that the Cowboys have another bye while the Jets meet Dubbo CYMS.
