With the forced cancellation of the annual event last year due to COVID, Dubbo Show Society president Wesley Temessl said resilience was one of the main themes of the event this year.
"It's been a challenging time for everybody in all areas of life, so we've tried our best to put on something really good," he said.

The 148th Regional Australia Bank Dubbo Show ran from Friday to Sunday with all of the rides, food, entertainment and entries expected from the annual event.
The cold weather didn't deter crowds either, with Mr Temessl praising the number of attendees.
"It's been absolutely wonderful," he said.
"We're very happy with the crowd this year, it's probably up a little bit from normal."
There were plenty of highlights throughout the show from the livestock exhibits and the presentation of the supreme exhibit which went to a poll dorset ram from Tattykeel, right through to the young farmers challenge, Rural Achiever award and Showgirl competition.
The state's Commissioner of Resilience, former NSW Rural Fire Service Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons, opened the show on Saturday afternoon and thanked first responders for their work over the past 12 months.
Mr Temessl praised the Dubbo Show Society committee and volunteers who helped put the event together, and said planning was already under way for next year.
"It's a massive team effort from everybody, so all our committee members, our volunteers. This doesn't happen without the support of these people," he said.
"Planning is already under way, we'll be back bigger and better in 2022."
