After missing the event last year as a result of Covid-19 restrictions and cancellations, we were super excited to see the show gates open on Friday morning for the annual Dubbo show.

And what a show it is.
Full pavilions, community groups, sideshow ally, show bags, animals, livestock judging, wood chopping, competition, and the list goes on.
Already the Show Society have told us that there had been great support with pre-sale tickets and pre-sale ride tickets sold out even out before the gates opened on Friday.

The use of the Discover vouchers has been a great boost for the society as well.
While you can't use these vouchers at the gate, you can still use them up until Sunday afternoon booking via 123tix online. Tickets can be purchased at the gate, just not using your Discover voucher.
And with the weather expected to be cool and dry, the next two days look to be just as spectacular as day one has been so far.
A good show is a win not only for the not-for-profit organisation, but also for the broader city. Just look around and you can see that Dubbo's busy this weekend with people coming into town for the show.
And a walk across the showground revealed the multitude of grassroots community groups that are linked in with the show, fundraising and promoting awareness of their causes.
It's great to see so much support this year.
And it wouldn't be happening without the tireless efforts of many of the volunteers around the show grounds.
Nobody could put a show on like the Dubbo Show without a good committee - and it's quite clear that Dubbo has one of the best, working tirelessly to ensure much enjoyment for everyone who walks through the gates.
We hope you get the chance to enjoy a day, or evening at this year's show; you'll be supporting our local community.
