The 55-year-old man was last seen in Macleay Street, Dubbo, about 8.05am on Tuesday.
Officers from the Orana Mid-Western Police District were notified and began an investigation into his whereabouts.
He was located on Wednesday afternoon.
Police thank the public for their assistance.

Police are appealing for help to locate a man missing from Dubbo.
Peter Blair, aged 55, was last seen in Macleay Street, Dubbo, about 8.05am on Tuesday.
Officers from the Orana Mid-Western Police District were notified and began an investigation into his whereabouts.

Peter is described as being of Caucasian appearance, between 170cm-180cm tall, of medium build, with short dark hair.
He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, dark blue shorts with a stripe down the side and grey shoes, carrying a black backpack and an Aldi carry bag.
Anyone who may have information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
