Once again grand plans for the facility have been released.
The sticking point? The money.
The push for an indoor pool was ignited once more back in December. It's the second time in the past four years it has been on Dubbo Regional Council's agenda.

More than 700 residents have already completed a survey on what they would like at the pool - over 75 per cent of those said they wanted to see an indoor pool at the facility.
Designs have been drawn, and plans have been mapped out. But still no pool.
Now, there's a call for another master plan and design concepts to be developed, this time with a heated spa, sauna and fully-equipped gym.
It sounds a little similar to other facilities we have in town.
In Wellington more than $8.9 million was spent upgrading the facility back in 2018 - 2019. However, the plans for Dubbo are a lot more grand.
Already money has been spent on planning for the proposed indoor pool.
Initially $29,500 was provided to develop a plan back in July 2018, before funding of $27,900 was allocated to the master plan development in November 2018 when council found additional funding in a quarterly budget review.
At the time the indoor pool at the RSL was closed, leaving residents without access to a full sized pool in the city.
For now it's all another wait and see.
In a report to councillors, Dubbo council staff said they wait until the technical drawings are in place before they seek grants and donations for the project.
For the hundreds of residents wanting an indoor public run pool, well it doesn't look like work will be starting anytime soon.
We just wonder how many masterplans we have to see before someone finally gets a shovel out.
