Dubbo were defeated in the opening round by the Bathurst Giants but bounced back strongly and coach Pete Martinoli was pleased with the sides 3.0-18 to 5.9-39 win.
"It was a pretty good game from the outset, we started a lot faster then we did last time so we got off to an early lead but then Orange obviously bounced back in the second and third quarter then we held strong in the last quarter." he said.

Martinoli did not hesitate when asked who the best on ground was, admitting star player Em Warner was her usual best.
"Em Warner as always was a brick wall when we threw her in the backline in the fourth quarter and definitely held them out." he said.
The Dubbo coach was so pleased with his sides performance that he was stumped to finding anything worth improving on before playing at home for the first time this season.
"We are actually struggling to pick things out that we need to improve on (this week) it was a really well rounded game," he said.
The Dubbo men's Tier 1 side struggled again losing to Orange 13.14-92 to 9.6-60 with Tom Budd and Bevan Charlton-White kicking three goals each for the Demons.
Orange's Todd Fagan eclipsed both Dubbo players hauls kicking seven of the sides 13 goals in the 32 point win.
Playing Cowra away, the men's Tier 2 side were defeated by the home side 13.7-85 to 4.5-29.
