Regional Development Australia (RDA) Orana is highlighting the federal government's Relocation Assistance to Take Up a Job program.
It believes the program will help job seekers but also employers in regions like Orana where there are "more jobs than people".
Relocation Assistance to Take Up a Job currently provides up to $9000 to eligible job seekers who take up ongoing work in a new location.
"Once a jobseeker has accepted an ongoing job, this support is available to help reimburse some of the relocation costs," RDA Orana reports.
"Beginning this month, job seekers may be able to receive up to $2000 of that support in upfront payments.
"These changes will not only benefit job seekers but will help regional employers who are finding it difficult to secure the labour they need."
RDA Orana's third and annual Inland Growth Summit in February this year was focused on finding solutions to "more jobs than people".
