Coming off a bye in round one and having several new players this season, it was unsure what to make of the Narromine side heading into the competition but Saturday's win is sure to put some teams on notice.
Leading the game from start to finish, Narromine were dominant particularly in the defensive and centre third intercepting the ball.
Hawks captain Trudy Althofer was more than pleased with her side's performance on the weekend.
"Very pleased, we have about four or five new players this season," she said
"So this was their first run together and lots of changes to see how things go and it's just nice to get out on the court after a bye in round one."

Last season, the Hawks finished the regular season in fourth but were knocked by the Fusion Fire 54-33 in the semi-finals before the latter went on the fall to club mates Fusion Heat.
Althofer also admitted her delight with the defence and some of the young players who kept a high tempo in the match.
"I'm very lucky as a defender to usually have Jo run out in front of me and this is our second year playing together so we have a good combination and she's a really strong player to have out in front," she said.
"We have these young legs also who do a hell of a lot of work for us."
The Hawks skipper was happy with the new players in the side and their performances but singled out one of the experienced players as a pivotal player in the sides performance.
"One of our older Hawks, Kat was quite dominant in our third quarter, she got five intercepts quite cleanly". she said.
"She did really well in that quarter and cleaned up, but the new players as well."
Althofer admitted the goal for the side this season was not a certain number of wins and losses but to make sure all of the players are enjoying the game.
"Our goal every year is to have fun, if we are having fun then we play well and if we lose we lose or if we win that's a bonus so as long as we are having fun on the court we are happy," she said.
"It's been great to have everyone new involved."
In the other, A Grade games the dominant force that is the Fusion Heat downed St Groovers 74-35 to remain unbeaten from the first two rounds ahead of a round-three meeting with Narromine.
Nyngan Cougars also made it two wins from as many games handing Fusion Wild a 39-24 loss, while the Macquarie Hornets had the week off with the bye.
Wild will face the Hornets on Saturday, the latter is coming fresh off a bye in round two.
The rounds other match will see the red-hot Cougars face the St Groovers who will be hoping they can register their first win of the season, while Dubbo Rhinos Rebels have the bye.
