Wellington Public School P&C president Katrina Gersbach said there was already a buzz of excitement in the air.

"This is our first event in a year and a half," she said.

Barnardos Australia program manager Shiree Talbot said they were also excited for their involvement, stating the Mother's Day Breakfast fundraiser was a win-win for everyone.

"Mums and children get a chance to celebrate together, the P&C can host an event, which will raise much-needed funds for beautification projects for the school community and Barnardos Three Wise Women Mobile café volunteers are able to utilise their hospitality training," Ms Talbot said.

The annual event will raise funds for Wellington Public School's P&C while supporting fundraising by Fat Poppy Coffee Roasters for the Beyond Barbed Wire program.

The Beyond Barbed Wire program supports mums leaving Wellington gaol to reconnect to their families and the community.

Set to be an enormous success, the event will provide students with the opportunity to treat their mums, grandmothers, and aunties to a breakfast feast of croissants, bacon and egg rolls as well as a barista coffee roasted especially for Mother's Day by Fat Poppy Coffee Roasters.

Barnardos Beyond Barbed Wire Caseworker, Martha Smith said she was looking forward to a busy morning, which had a special treat in store for mums.

"'It is always great to be in community with the Three Wise Women mobile café," Ms Smith said.

"This year is a bit of an extra special treat with the Mayde for Mums coffee beans from Fat Poppy."

Each year for Mother's Day Fat Poppy Coffee Roasters release a limited edition coffee blend called Mayde for Mums.

"It is so nice, a little bit like a Caramello Koala. I hope all the mums love it," Ms Smith said.

This year Fat Poppy Coffee Roaster has gone one step further, having also created white and pink t-shirts supporting the Beyond Barbed Wire Program.

The Mother's Day Breakfast will be held at Wellington Public School on Friday, May 7, from 8am.
