Tyers Park racing manager Michell Tarpenning said nomination numbers across the board are pleasing.
"We've got two local trainers supporting the race and it's a great one to have that local support behind, and getting 20 nominations for the saddle is great," she said.
"There's a couple of races that have had their nominations extended but they'll fill up. There's expected to be fantastic weather, the track is in superb condition and the rail is in the true position.
"There's $32,000 for the total prizepool of the saddle and that extra prizemoney means a lot to our trainers."
Dubbo-based Nestor put forward two hopes, Toulon Brook and Toulon Factor, while Not Negotiating was put forward by Wellington trainer Peter Stanley.
Nestor and Stanley could also be in action in the Gold Nugget Two-Year-Old Handicap (1100m) after nominating Grandellie and Look At Yah respectively.
The race would be Grandellie's first while Look At Yah has had five starts, including an eighth-placed finish in last month's Wellington Boot.
Stanley, who formerly trained out of Bathurst, also nominated Twice The Value for another of the day's features, the Bill Aspros Cup (1100m).
