A man has died after a single-vehicle crash in the state's west this morning, police say.

About 2.45am on Sunday, officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District were travelling on Baradine Road, Coonabarabran, when they located a Holden Commodore utility which had left the road and crashed into a tree.
The Holden driver and sole occupant, a man, believed to be aged 19, died at the scene.
He is yet to be formally identified.
Police established a crime scene and started inquiries in the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
