The music festival comes after Newcastle Fringe Festival Inc decided for the first time to set up a satellite fringe event in Dubbo for 2021.
Newcastle Fringe Festival Inc will be working with Dubbo Regional Council, venues, artists, local art organisations, media and volunteers from within the community in order to make it happen.
Singer/songwriter Snez is one among several artists set to perform as part of the Fringe Festival in Dubbo and she comes hot off the back of releasing her most recent album Fisher on the Sea.
Snez is a jack of all trades, playing solo acoustic guitar, vocals, bouzouki and bodhran whilst also using her music to tell the stories of her homeland, Macedonia.
"I released my new album 'Fisher on the Sea' in February, followed by an Aussie tour for the rest of 2021," Snez said.
"I'll also be dropping into Dubbo to play at The Fringe Festival."
Snez will highlight her latest from Fisher on the Sear work when she takes to Dubbo sages, the album having been described as intensely honest and introspective, sometimes plaintive, sometimes fierce, and her songs as having a way of settling into your heart and making a home, subtly weaving their magic into your soul.
Snez will perform in Dubbo at the Wesley Hall from 7.30 pm Thursday, May 6 and again from 6.00 pm at the Dubbo RSL Club Jacaranda room on Friday, May 7 as part of the Fringe Festival.
Dubbo Fringe Festival will take place the second weekend of May for three days, beginning on Thursday, May 6 May and finishing on Saturday, May 8.
