Dubbo Regional Council mayor Ben Shields has been taken off life support, however has developed 'other medical conditions' which are being treated.
Councillor Greg Mohr made a statement, as the family's nominated spokesperson, on Monday afternoon, which said Cr Shields remains in intensive care at Dubbo Hospital.
"Ben has been taken off life support but is still in a serious condition. Ben has now developed other medical conditions which are being treated," he said.

Cr Mohr thanked the staff at Dubbo Hospital for their care of Cr Shields.
"Ben continues to be cared for by the wonderful staff here at Dubbo Hospital ... the family cannot thank these medical professionals enough for their care and compassion," he said.
On Saturday friends and family of Cr Shields gathered in Victoria Park holding a vigil in honour of the mayor, to share stories and pass on their well wishes.
Candles were placed at the Dubbo Regional Council main office building in honour of Ben.
"Ben's family would like to thank those who attended on the night, especially those people who bought their dachshunds along in honour of Ben's love of dachshunds," Cr Mohr said.
FRIDAY, APRIL 2: Dubbo Regional Council mayor Ben Shields is currently in intensive care at Dubbo Hospital.
Cr Greg Mohr released a video statement as the family's nominated spokesperson on Friday afternoon.
In the statement Cr Mohr said Cr Shields was in intensive care.
He also called on the public not to "speculate on what has happened... Please don't share or fuel any hurtful and unhelpful rumours... instead, please share a thought for Ben today and join us in wishing him a full recovery."
On Wednesday Dubbo Regional council said Cr Shields would take indefinite medical leave, effective immediately, with deputy mayor Stephen Lawrence to step into the mayoral role.

"My name is Greg Mohr... I'm talking with you all today about the current condition of Ben Shields, Mayor of the Dubbo Region.
I am talking as the family's nominated spokesperson during this very difficult time and not speaking as a Councillor or representing Dubbo Regional Council.
Mayor Ben Shields is currently in intensive care here at Dubbo Hospital... Ben is in a very serious condition... Ben is fighting for his life...
At this point in time, Ben is being cared for by the wonderful staff here at Dubbo Hospital... the family cannot thank these medical professionals enough for their care and compassion.
The messages of support to the family from the community during this extremely difficult time have been appreciated.
I ask you all that you please, please respect Ben's privacy as he fights the battle of his life... and that you please respect the privacy of his family.
I won't be commenting on the circumstances that led to where we are today... this is a very serious health issue. Please don't speculate on what has happened... Please don't share or fuel any hurtful and unhelpful rumours... instead, please share a thought for Ben today and join us in wishing him a full recovery.
