From "early October" the city's branch of the financial institution will "co-locate" with St George in Macquarie Street, the bank says.
The move will have no impact to employees from either branch, Westpac says.
Dubbo is one of eight regional centres where the Westpac Group's new model will be rolled out.
Westpac's confirmation of the move comes after the Finance Sector Union revealed the bank's "co-location" plans at eight centres, as well as the bank's proposal to close another 40 branches.
On Thursday Westpac Group chief customer engagement officer Ross Miller confirmed Westpac's time on the corner of Macquarie and Church streets, was coming to an end, after 102 years.
He said to continue to "invest in and support many regional areas" Westpac Group had introduced a new branch model that would have two bank brands in one location.
"This will help us retain a face-to-face service and connection to the community at a time when customers are choosing to visit branches less," he said.

"This model has been successfully providing service for both Westpac and BankSA customers in Renmark, South Australia as well as Darwin and Alice Springs in the Northern Territory allowing our brands to continue to be an employer and part of the community, no matter which brand our customers bank with.
"We are very pleased to expand this service to a further eight regional locations, including Dubbo, NSW.
"We recognise the important service our bankers provide to the Dubbo community and we want to maintain this for both our St George and Westpac customers.
"This new multi-branded 'two bank' branch will allow both brands to work alongside each other to serve our customers.
"From early October the Westpac Dubbo branch will co-locate with our St George branch, located at 123-125 Macquarie Street."
In a statement of significance published on the State Heritage Inventory website, 87-89 Macquarie Street is "one of few elaborately decorative commercial buildings in Dubbo".
It is "important from both a streetscape and architectural viewpoint" and became the Bank of NSW - the forerunner of Westpac - in 1919.
