Heat have won four successive titles and firmly established themselves as one of the best sides in Dubbo across any sport.
Last season, Heat defeated Fusion Fire 56-41 in the grand final without injured captain Tash Robinson.
This season, they will be joined in the A Grade competition by Macquarie Hornets, Narromine Hawks, St Groovers, Narromine Hawks, Inspire Mystics, Fusion Wild, Dubbo Rhino Rebels and Nyngan Cougars.
Both A Grade and A reserve will have eight teams come round one with the Fusion club entering three sides in the latter competition.
Nyngan, Trangie, Warren and Narromine have all entered teams in this year's competitions.

B Grade features two teams for Trangie and the Deadly Dragonflies who make up the eight team competition.
The Dubbo Rhinos will continue their partnership with the rugby club entering five teams throughout the grades.
Saints boast the most sides across the competitions and are closely followed by the Fusion club.
Remarkably, Saints have entered 35 teams across all competitions with six teams in the Under 11s competition alone.
The Dubbo Netball Association is expected to have 16 divisions or grades this season with some competitions have up to 14 teams entered.
The Dubbo Netball season will start on April 24 with four byes taking place throughout the season which will conclude on September 11.
Draws for the competitions are yet to be released.
Dubbo will continue their Regional League Division 1 season on Sunday when they face the powerhouse minor premiership Orange side after finishing fourth following the nine round matches.
Dubbo lost all three matches against Orange with the closest match coming in the second with the score 30-21.
Dubbo are guaranteed another match whether they win or lose to Orange with a third place play-off.
The other semi-final will feature Bathurst and Forbes.
