Ms Armstrong and Ms Paice are two of the participants in this year's Stars of Dubbo Dance for Cancer.
The Cancer Council fundraiser was cancelled last year and when spots opened up for participants in 2021, the duo jumped at the chance to join.
Their desire to raise as much as possible is already paying off. Despite being among the last people to sign up, Ms Armstrong and Ms Paice, who work together at Orana Early Intervention, are just shy of $3000.
It's a cause both are passionate about.

"One of my family friends passed away from cancer just before Christmas so it was hitting really close to home. She was 21 and had the cancer of a 60-year-old who has smoked her whole life. But she was amazing, she kept strong the whole time, finished uni, got her degree," Ms Armstrong said.
"I felt like she had done that so I could do this to raise some money for Cancer Council.
"And we have a lot of families at our workplace [who have been affected by cancer]. I think in the last year three of my families had told me that they had a family member who had cancer and are going away to get treatment so it's very real in that aspect as well."
Ms Paice and Ms Armstrong have worked together for three years, but their friendship goes much deeper than that. Not only are they coworkers and close friends, they're also neighbours.
"We have jokes about Gab moving into my house because we're just always together. Either she's at my house or I'm at her house," Ms Paice said.
So when a chance to dust off their dance shoes opened up, Ms Armstrong knew there was only one person she wanted to ask to be her partner.
The duo have been paired up with Orana Dance and say their performance is all about having some fun.
The Stars of Dubbo Dance for Cancer will be held at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre on April 30.
