The Stars of Dubbo Dance for Cancer will be held on Friday, April 30.
The annual dance raises money for the Cancer Council. Participants spend weeks - or thanks to COVID, a year - fundraising and honing their dances before they perform at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre.
When he first accepted the nomination, Mr Dickinson said he was so nervous he was covered in sweat. But as the weeks have gone on, he's started to enjoy himself.
"My nan passed away when she was 26 from cancer so the thought was there to say 'yeah, nah' but I knew I'd do it," he said.
"It's such a good cause I can't not do it. How could anyone ever say no to doing it?"

Mr Dickinson has been paired with Urban Edge Dance Studios - the same dance school three of his children attend.
"I don't know where they get the confidence from because they didn't get it from me. But I dare say I'll have confidence after this dance on stage," he said.
"I was actually practicing at home the other day and the second oldest said 'I'm going to show you, you're too stiff'. I thought I had it but they laughed."
While he knows he will be nervous on the night, the star is hoping seeing a few of the other performers will help keep him calm.
"I would like to do really well but it's all about fun. It wouldn't really bother me if I didn't win, it's more about helping raise money for cancer. The dancing is more for fun. But my kids are like 'no, this is a dance competition'," Mr Dickinson said.
While he didn't want to give too much away about the performance, the star said it was a hip hop routine. He's started to look forward to the two hour dance rehearsals every Saturday.
"You don't think two hours is very much but it is when you're in there, going for it. It just takes it out of you," he said.
"I really appreciate when I see people on stage now. It is so hard to keep up and remember the next move but it's all about the challenge and I like that."
Mr Dickinson has so far raised just over $350 but he's set himself a personal goal of raising at least $4000.
"I just can't thank the studio and everyone that's helped enough. Every has been really, really nice," he said.
"You don't realise you've got that in the community until you need something like this. It's really nice to know that support is there."
The Stars of Dubbo Dance for Cancer will be held at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre.
