Fire crews remained at the scene of a large bush fire near Condobolin overnight to monitor and patrol the area after working through Monday afternoon to control the blaze.

Reports a fire burning on the Nyngan Road, around 60 kilometres north-west of Condobolin, came through on Monday afternoon with crews from several Rural Fire Service brigades responding.
Local brigades were supported by heavy machinery, water bombing aircraft and remote area firefighting teams to build and strengthen containment lines around the fire, which is estimated to have impacted around 40 hectares.
As of early Tuesday morning the fire remained at the Advice level with an Under Control status, with the NSW State Emergency Service's Condobolin unit also attending to assist the operation.

They assisted in delivering meals to the fireground as officers continued their attempts to control the blaze, with the Rural Fire Service also thanking staff at the Condobolin Hotel Motel, who organised those meals.
