Fortunately, Taronga Western Plains Zoo has got your school holidays covered with the fabulous Zoo Adventures program.
The Zoo Adventures school holiday program is a fun and educational program for primary school-aged children between five and 12 years and is run by zoo staff.
Zoo Adventures offers interactive learning with four different themes across the school holiday period.
Each session features a range of activities based around a daily theme.
The themes for the autumn school holidays are Delectable Diets, Newborn Nursery, Wonderful Wildlife and Festy Fauna Features.
Activities include art and craft, games and going behind the scenes to meet some of the zoo's amazing animals.
In each session, children learn more about the topic, from what animals eat and why some are fussy eaters and others aren't through to the fascinating world of reptiles.
There is a topic that is sure to engage and inspire every child about the natural world.
The program runs from 8.30am to 3.30pm on weekdays from Monday April 6 through to Friday April 16, 2021 excluding Monday April 12.
The Zoo Adventures program is $40 per day per child and includes entry to the zoo, morning tea and all activities throughout the day.

Alternatively, you can bring your family out to see the newest additions to the zoo during the school holidays, including gorgeous giraffe calves and the mischievous spider monkey babies.
With more than 5000 animals and 350 different species, there's so much to discover.
Remember, residents of Dubbo and surrounds can access the special local Zoo Friends membership rate of $38 per adult, child and concession with a one-time joining fee of $20.
