Esteban Avellan from Weatherzone said February was a recording breaking month and more rain could be expected for the beginning of Autumn.
"The long term average is around 46mm and Feburary this year has 114mm, so this is more than double the average for this time of year. The number of days with rain in Feburary is around seven and we had 10 this year," Mr Avellan said.
"The wettest day was Feburary 10 with almost 30mm but we have seen several days above 10mm.
"In terms of temperature it's been cooler than the average, the long term average is 32 degrees and 30.6 degrees was the average for this year,"

Mr Avellan said February as a whole was affected by a weather pattern which will soon disappear.
"Similar for minimum temperatures, the average is 17.7 and last month we had 16.3. This is consistent with La Nina. This summer we have seen a La Nina event and that usually brings more moisture and higher chances of rain across NSW and more likely to see storms as well.
"This month there is a still a high chance of seeing above average rainfall, not only for Dubbo but across much of NSW again this is similar with the pattern we see for La Nina events,"
"La Nina has already peaked in around Feburary, still it is very common to see the affects in Autumn, so La Nina is expected to terminate in late Autumn which is usually when it happens but the effects of seeing more rain over Eastern Australia are still definitely on, April seems more near the average,"
"Looking at the Autumn outlook, we are seeing a wetter than average season, but mainly because of March, so March should be wetter than average,"
It is also predicted that nights in Autumn will be warmer than average due to the increase cloud cover across Dubbo.
"In terms of temperature, looking like cooler conditions than average similar to what we saw in February and this will continue into April, for minimum temperature interestingly there is a chance of seeing warmer than average minimum temperature probably due to more clouds, cloud cover and rain at nights, nights at April will be warmer as well."
Dubbo has collected 168mm so far this year, 68mm more than the average.
