Emu Logics Nicole and Dan Harte said they welcomed the game shows casting crew, contestants and show host Beau Ryan to the emu farm, located near Warrumbungle National Park north of Dubbo, in November of last year to film two challenges for the show.
Mrs Harte said it was an 'intense and pretty exciting experience' to have been a part of.
"It was great, it was really interesting to do," she said.
"We have been involved in a few different tv and movie-related things, just because the emus are quite good to get footage of, but this was different.
"It was an intense afternoon- you had all these camera crews and teams rolling through. We're used to dealing with film crews but it's usually over a longer period of time.
"But we enjoyed doing it and we've been following along with the series and so far we're really enjoying watching it."
Mrs Harte said they have had to remain tight-lipped about the event up until now, but since advertisements for the show started airing on television they have had family members, friends and acquaintances calling them up to ask if they will be on television
According to Mr Harte, he and Mrs Harte, as well as farm owners Phil and Penny Henley, had segments shot of them, which they anticipate will be shown during the upcoming episode.
"We kept it very quiet, but now everyone's finding out people are starting to get quite excited about it," Mrs Harte said.
Mr Harte said he's excited to see the finished product and how different it looks compared to what it looked like from behind the scenes.
"It's also great this year for the fact that it's all Australian's and it's filmed in all Australian locations.
"For us so far to watch all the episodes filmed up north and in Queensland and everywhere, sparks the thought that if we're ever up there maybe we will visit that area.
"I think they're trying to push that, highlighting all the areas in Australia to travel too because obviously all the international borders will all be closed for a little while so."
The fifth edition of the show premiered at 7:30 pm on February 1, and runs on Network 10.
