Scoring a maiden RSL-Whitney Cup century was special for Marty Jeffrey on Saturday but getting the chance to share it with "one of the best bats to play in Dubbo" and feature in a massive partnership made it that little bit better.

Jeffrey's RSL-Colts side won again on Saturday, downing South Dubbo in a match highlighted by a tremendous 232-run stand between the captain and Brad Cox.
Jeffrey made 105 while Cox finished unbeaten on 134 in yet another memorable Whitney Cup performance.
The partnership drove Colts to a huge 4/292 and while the Hornets were gallant in reply they finished well short at 213.
"In the years I've been at Colts Brad has been someone I've looked up to and tried to model my game around," Jeffrey said.
"His style of batting and the tempo is something I've needed to work on ... so it was special to get it with him.
"It was really good for both of us to spend some time in the middle heading towards the back end of the season."

Jeffrey added the partnership, which lasted roughly 30 overs, was one of the best he'd been a part of.
"Especially to share it with Brad, who's got to be one of the best bats to play in Dubbo," he said.
"It's just his tempo and something he does really well and it stands him above the rest.
"He understands situations in the game and went to take bowlers down town and when to knuckle down.
"Being down the other end was unreal."
It was the first double-hundred stand in the top grade since the 217-run partnership between Macquarie duo Ed Haylock and Ricky Medway in 2017/18.
Jeffrey and Cox came together at an important time at No. 2 Oval on Saturday after Colts had been reduced to 2/7 and 3/55 early on.
The next wicket didn't fall until the score reached 287 as the match was taken right away from the Hornets.
"It was something Brad and I spoke about, you could give yourself 30 balls to get in and turn the strike over and we knew we could cash in late in the day," Jeffrey added.
After piling on the mammoth score the ladder-leading Colts were overwhelming favourites against the last-placed Hornets but it was one of Souths' youngest players who led the fight in reply.
Ted Murray earned plenty of praise from his teammates and also Jeffrey for making 76, his first half-century in the top grade, in the Souths innings while captain Angus Norton also made 53 to ensure there was some positives for his side.
The Hornets finished 79 run shorts while for Colts, teenage spinner Tyson Deebank bagged 4/50 while Jeffrey took 2/16 and Grant Malouf impressed with the new ball when bowling his eight straight and finishing with 1/33.
Elsewhere on Saturday, CYMS had a welcome return to winning ways.
After back-to-back losses to Colts on Friday and Saturday last round, CYMS then suffered another McDonald's Megahit loss on Friday when going down to Rugby.
But the Cougars got things right on Saturday, with Bailey Edmunds' four-wicket haul sending his side on the way.
Edmunds (4/14 from seven) struck three times with the new ball to reduce the Tigers to 3/21 and while Dan French's 69 helped his side to 144 it was a relatively simple chase for the men in green.
Opener Lachlan Strachan got his side going with 43 before Thomas Nelson made 47 not out to get the Cougars home with six wickets and more than six overs to spare.
The win was an important one for the Cougars as it moved them back up ahead of Newtown into third spot.
Saturday's other game resulted in a win for Macquarie over Rugby.
The No. 1 pitch again proved tricky to bat on and the second-placed Macquarie were reduced to 5/61 early on but Hugh Sienkiewicz top-scored with 36 and some other late runs helped the Blues to 144.
It proved enough as opening bowler Ben Strachan and the Blues' slower bowlers strangled Rugby on the way to bowling them out for 117.
Strachan took 2/14 from eight while Ed Haylock (2/33), Myles Smith (2/20 off eight), and Ricky Medway (1/14 off eight) all did a job.
Roland O'Connor was valiant in defeat and made 64 not out for Rugby while Glenn Shepherd had earlier taken 3/19 with the ball.
