Youngsters of all stripes dove in and tried to beat the heat during their school holiday break, with our photographer on hand to catch some social snaps throughout.
The wet weather from the start of the month was nowhere to be seen, with the mercury topping out at a seasonal 30.2 only to be matched a day later by Monday's top of 31 degrees.
