The large crowd at the 2020 Australia Day event in Dubbo's Victoria Park will not return on January 26 this year.
Numbers will be restricted at the popular Australia Day award ceremony and naturalisation ceremony.
Host of the ceremonies, Dubbo Regional Council, has announced that 200 registered guests will have breakfast at the city's premier park from 7.30am to 10am on Australia Day.
Similar arrangements are in place for Wellington's Australia Day celebrations at Cameron Park from 10am to 12pm.
The names of the region's official Australia Day ambassadors and information on registering for the Dubbo and Wellington events are scheduled for release soon.
Businesses are being encouraged by the council to register their January 26 events, if they include entertainment and activities, at dubbo.com.au .
The council will promote the businesses and their opening hours on social media and in the official Australia Day 2021 program.
It has also advised that Australia Day award nominations will close at 5pm on Monday, January 11.
