To join the Summer Reading Challenge, visit your local Library to receive your free challenge sheet, borrow books to read, and complete the reading challenges by January 31 to win a book prize and receive entries for the major prize draw at the end of the Summer School Holidays. Youth Trivia Night
Join in the fun at the free Youth Trivia Night! Test your general knowledge at Dubbo Library on Friday 15th January from 6.00pm to 8.00pm for trivia fun, laughs and free pizza. Open to ages 13 - 18 years. To maintain social distancing, spaces are limited to 20 people, and bookings are required. Free. For bookings go to mrl.eventbrite.com.au.
Build & Borrow Holiday sessions
Visit Dubbo library these school holidays for our Build and Borrow sessions! During the 1 hour sessions you can browse the shelves for new and popular books, get advice or book lists from library staff for the Summer Reading Challenge, then test your skills to beat the clock to build a creation for the day's challenge from materials provided. Sessions are suitable for children aged 5-12 years.
Two sessions available each weekday from January 4 to January 22. Session 1: 10.30 - 11.30am and Session 2: 2.30 - 3.30pm. To maintain social distancing, spaces are limited. Bookings are required. Free. For bookings go to mrl.eventbrite.com.au.
Wellington Library
Holiday games and activities for all ages
Bring a friend to Wellington Library and book in for free 30 minute Xbox sessions from January 11-23. A range of PG games will be available. Suitable for ages 10-16.
Younger children must have parental supervision. Contact Wellington Library on 6840 1780 to book your session! Drop in anytime to participate in the ongoing keyboarding speed challenge. Daily prizes will be provided!
