The fresh foyer, funded by Dubbo Regional Council, is part of an overall improvement plan for better access and enjoyment of the pool.
John Swain was the first swimmer to try out the new entrance on Tuesday.
Dubbo mayor Ben Shields, who cut a ribbon to officially open the new foyer, said the revamp was a major improvement.

"The Dubbo Aquatic Leisure Centre should be an inviting place for residents and visitors to Dubbo to come and the new foyer is a positive start," Cr Shields said.
"First impressions are important and stepping in to the new area is a major improvement on the previous entrance.
"It is also signaling council's intentions to continue with a significant redevelopment of our pool complex. Council is in the process of compiling a masterplan to determine the long-term direction of the pool, and this could include some exciting steps like an indoor pool, additional parking and improved amenities.
Cr Shields said he was very excited about what the foyer would look like in the future.
Before the revamp, the foyer entrance was open to the elements, often making it uncomfortable for both visitors and staff.
The new works involve enclosing the foyer to create an appealing, air-conditioned space as visitors walk through and are greeted by staff.
There is also a new merchandise area at the pool where patrons can buy swim-related products.
There have been improvements made to security with the installation of a new roller door, the remodeling of office space for staff, the creation of a dedicated water testing space, and bike racks.
There are also COVID-19 safe measures in place, including a digital check-in system.
Local company Glenn Healey Constructions undertook the works after a competitive quotation process.
The pool will be closed on Christmas Day but will reopen on Boxing Day from 11am until 7pm.
Normal operating hours at the pool will resume from January 1.
The café will be available during the opening hours both internally, and from Victoria Park.
The full list of opening hours at Dubbo, Wellington and Geurie pools can be found on the Dubbo Regional Council website.
