It has been the culmination of a 12-month project run by registered midwife Bethany Riley with support from colleagues.
Every month between December 2019 and November 2020, they have put self-made decorations bearing the names of babies born at the hospital, including miscarried and stillborn babies, on a wall inside the unit.

The wall decorations were packed away at the end of each month until late this year when the project team decided it was time to hang them all on the corridor's ceiling.
Ms Riley said the response to the display which took almost 12 hours to hang had been "beautiful".
"..expectant mums and dads walk down to the clinic under it and get the full effects," she said.
"One lady said she was really, really nervous coming in to have her baby but the moment she hit that hallway she had this wave of relief and calmness."
The decorations, which also carry birth dates and times, are appearing on the wall of the maternity unit this December.
The public's enthusiasm for the project has convinced Ms Riley to roll it out for another year.
