Director of Regional Development Megan Dixon said the book will be a very handy tool to be used in conjunction with settlement services in the area.
"The development of this publication represents a first for the Orana region," she said.
"Our Welcome to the Orana guide offers insights into the region including education, employment, housing, medical and a section on each Local Government Area."

The guide has already received fantastic feedback from a range of migrants who were impressed by the helpful information contained.
"They were included at every stage of the book's development and gave excellent insight into its content," Mrs Dixon said.
The publication was launched in Narromine, with Narromine mayor Craig Davies supportive of the initiative.
"I very much welcome this document known as the Welcome book."
"Narromine Shire has already taken preliminary steps to enter into an arrangement to commence an immigration program. Whilst it is very early days, the imperative of immigration grows daily for a shire hoping to expand significantly in the coming decades.
"No longer can we hope the city dwellers will leave the relative comfort of their coastal retreats to head west and take up the amazing jobs being created in rural and regional towns.
"I look forward with much anticipation to the arrival of our first intake of immigrants and will welcome them with open arms knowing their lives will be changed and ours enhanced by their presence."
