On your marks, get set, read!
Macquarie Regional Library has launched this year's summer reading challenge.
Open to young people aged five to 18-years-old, the challenge aims to promote reading, while supporting children's literacy development. It runs from the start of December until the end of January.
"The popular Summer Reading Challenge kicks off the beginning of what is set to be an exciting summer with a variety of fun in-house and at home school holiday programs occurring throughout January," library manager Kathryn McAlister said.
