"This weekend the weather is really warming up, we have strong winds forecast as well, we're looking at a severe fire danger rating this weekend," Ms Waters said.
The Bureau of Meteorology forecasts that temperatures will top out at 43 this coming Sunday, and as a result, the Orana RFS are advising everyone to take every precaution necessary when working with machinery.
"We'd like land-owners to be mindful of what they're doing, there's a lot of harvesting happening, farmers should consider stopping and looking at the weather before they continue or holding off until it cools down," Ms Waters said.
"With a fire danger rating of severe, that does mean a total fire ban, all permits are suspended, no fires in the open and no hot works like welding or grinding are permitted, no combustible items or barbeques, nothing like that."
Other steps that can be taken to ensure optimal fire safety ahead of the bruising heat on offer this weekend include clearing out gutters and ensuring that flowing water is readily available.
"We'd like property owners to prepare their properties, make sure pumps are working, gutters are cleared, lawns are short around homes and other assets like sheds," Ms Waters said.
"We need people to be vigilant and report any fires in the area as soon as they see them, the sooner we get on to them the sooner we can get them under control and protect our properties."
"Be very vigilant and know what to do if a fire was to threaten their homes and families."
