Transport for NSW is advising motorists there will be changed traffic conditions in locations along River, Bourke, Darling, Erskine, Brisbane and Thompson Streets from Monday, November 23.
The work will include surveying, excavation of test pits and taking samples from the road to inform future work.

This will be carried out within the shoulders of the road.
Work will be carried on weekdays between 7:30am and 5:30pm, and is expected to take one month to complete, weather permitting.
Traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
