The Demons had to be patient early after winning the toss and batting but after toughing it out and reaching 0/24 after 10 overs, the runs soon began to flow for Bevan Charlton-White and Angus Lennon.
The pair quickly got their side on top, with Lennon making 43 while Charlton-White made 51.
The runs didn't stop there as Ben Bunt banged 68 to drive the Demons to 4/230 from 40 overs.
The Rhinos gave it a shake but were never able to build any major partnerships, with Pradeep George's 33 the best effort in a total of 176.

Seven different Demons bowlers took wickets, with Eric Woolnough and Nicholas Williams taking two each.
The other RSL-Kelly Cup derby on Saturday resulted in CYMS White defeating CYMS Green.
White batted first and, in a rare situation in third grade, made the decision to declare with the score at 4/142.
Youngster Cooper Townsend led the way with 61 and then his bowlers got the job done, knocking over Green for 132.
Macquarie has worked its way towards the top of the ladder courtesy of a strong effort with the ball.
The Blues restricted South Dubbo Lemons to just 9/94 from 40 overs, with Indika Dombepola taking 3/17 from seven overs.
Macquarie reached the target with little fuss, as Buddika Warnakulasuriya top-scored with 33 to help secure the win.
Newtown Tigers proved too strong for RSL-Colts, with a rapid effort in the run chase proving decisive.
While Mick Davis made 64 for Colts, Darren Davies (4/34), Scott Barber (3/26) and Adam Stone (2/15) kept things tight and kept the score to 9/165.
It seemed a competitive total but Stone (61 not out) and Rick Dhindsa (48) belted ensured a six-wicket win was locked up inside 27 overs.
The final match of the round resulted in South Dubbo Limes defeating Rugby.
The O'Donnell combination of Mark and Tom proved key in the win, with the former top-scoring for Limes with the former top-scoring with 58 while the latter made 35 in a total of 5/187.
Fawad Baig then took over, taking 4/15 with the ball to knock over Rugby for 135.
With Friday's storms leaving the majority of the turf pitches around Dubbo unsuitable for play, only one RSL-Pinnington Cup second grade match went ahead on the weekend.
That one game resulted in a win for RSL-Colts White over CYMS.
Batting first, CYMS were led by the efforts of Dylan Fairall (49) as they posted 161.
The damage, as so often has been the case, was done by Geoff Wheeler as the Colts stalwart took 4/24 from seven overs.
Colts reached the target in 35 overs with six-wickets in hand.
Riley Keen was key in the successful chase and finished with 63 not out while Preston Beauchamp chipped in with 36.
