That was the delivery with which the Macquarie junior claimed her first Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) wicket.
Dubbo's Hughes made her debut for the Sydney Sixers on Sunday and made it one to remember as she finished with 1/12 from two overs against the Adelaide Strikers.
After being presented with her Sixers cap by teammate Sarah Aley, Hughes began in somewhat nervy fashion when she was handed the ball in the 15th over of the Strikers innings.
But after going for just seven in that first over, the big moment for the 20-year-old seamer arrived.
After keeping things tight, Hughes bowled a full toss and the Strikers' Madeline Penna could only manage to loft it towards long on, where Erin Burns took the simple catch.
The wicket came after Hughes had taken a catch in the eighth over the game to remove Katie Mack (29).
Hughes' brief spell was part of a strong effort with the ball for the Sixers.
With just four wins from the opening nine games the Sixers were in need of a win to maintain a spot in the top four and they began in fine style.
Ellyse Perry claimed 3/14 with the new ball to help reduce the Strikers to 6/56 early on.
