Summit Cranes took out the Business Who Met the Challenges of 2020 with Diversification and Innovation in the large business category, while SJ Shooter Real Estate claimed the title in the small business category.
The awards and four "people's choice" gongs were also announced at Salute to Dubbo Business, hosted by Dubbo Chamber of Commerce.
Wongarbon's Ploughman's Tavern won Dubbo's Favourite Hospitality Business.
Casey Rutherford of CJ Rutherford Roofing has been crowned Dubbo's Favourite Tradie.
The Service with a Smile award was won by Bev Onley, from Daily Scoop at Majo's.
Millenial Brow Co came away with the title of Dubbo's Most Popular Business.
Business excellence in the city is usually recognised with the glitz and glamour of the Rhino Awards, but it was cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic
Last night's event, sponsored by Regional Australia Bank and held at the new Waterhole Café in the heart of Taronga Western Plains Zoo, was slightly lower key.
The chamber congratulated the six category winners and all finalists. Chamber president Matt Wright said public support was amazing.
"The public should be congratulated for [its] role in the success of the event, and for recognising and supporting not just those businesses and individual winners, but all businesses nominated. To say that 2020 has been a challenging year for many is an understatement," he said.
The chamber thanked all who attended the event, with special thanks for the continued support of the event sponsors Regional Australia Bank, Daily Liberal, Mailbox Shopper, Taronga Western Plains Zoo, Win Network, 2DU and Zoo FM.
