The western region titan of racing has had to forestall plans to dial back his involvement in the local racing scene in order to keep suspended trainer Clint Lundholm's horses in work, and the fruits of that combination were on display in Dubbo on Tuesday when Harwok'n'zoff stormed home to win in the meeting's opening race.
One of Lundholm's former charges, Harwok'n'zoff carried Clayton Gallagher across the finishing line and narrowly beat out Wanda Ings slightly favoured Noble Banner.
"Clint did hand me a lot of fit horses, that first race with Harwok'n'zoff today, that was a good win, a really good win," Robb said.

"I'm enjoying it and things have been going well, obviously if the horses had just not run or the stable had shut down, that'd be no good, so Clint'll be back fairly soon and hopefully I can hand back some fit horses when he is."
Robb's second success on the day came in race three, with a sterling performance from frequent Robb staple Drummed Out carrying Clayton Gallagher and the eight-year-old gelding over the line for a Robb and Gallagher double.
"Drummed Out's one of mine, I brought him from Nyngan with me, he's been consistent if you look at him, he gets seconds and thirds everywhere we take him," Robb said.
While the trainer was quick to make light of his fortunes, he was also confident of a victory coming in and was grateful to deliver a win for the owners.
"I said to the owner, if he doesn't salute here, people are going to be in trouble, but not as much trouble as he's going to be in," Robb laughed.
The eight-year-old gelding led for much of the race, holding the position around the final turn and putting on some speed in the last stretch to extend the gap to two lengths by the finishing line.
While Robb has no plans to divest himself from racing entirely, with five horses currently sitting in his own stable, a return home is looming.
"I've got a little over a month to go and then I'll be back in god's country; Nyngan," Robb said.
It's a journey Robb is all too happy to make, but one that Drummed Out likely won't make with him.
"I was very pleased with the owners, who stuck with Drummed Out all the way through, Benny Marlin and everyone, they stuck with him even when he wasn't winning, even when it didn't seem like he was quite good enough," Robb said.
"But I don't know if he'll be coming back to Nyngan with me, he'll probably be retiring in Dubbo, I think."
Kieren Hazelton won the race in between, taking out a maiden win with Japingka.
