Family Planning NSW and Clinic 66 will bring a bulk-billed vasectomy clinic to Dubbo on November 19 and 20, as part of World Vasectomy Day.

The clinic means men in Dubbo and western NSW will have the opportunity to access the service through bulk-billing. It usually costs between $300 to $700 in a private clinics.
"This is a fantastic outreach service that gives men a chance to take charge of contraception for themselves and their partners," Family Planning NSW medical director Deborah Bateson said.

Approximately one in four Australian men over the age of 40 have had a vasectomy, with Australia having the second-highest rate in the world, following New Zealand.
"Vasectomy can seem a little daunting, but it's really a minor surgical procedure," Clinic 66 director Emma Boulton said.
The procedures will be bulk-billed for clients who hold a current Medicare card.
