Storms and showers officially delivered 40.8 millimetres (mm) of rain to the city between 9am Friday and 9am Monday, but residents tell of getting up to 20mm more.
The official rain tally for the city may rise from the above-average 47.8mm as of Tuesday morning, particularly because of a forecast storm on Wednesday.

On Tuesday morning, the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) reported of a 60 per cent chance of a "possible" thunderstorm dropping up to 6mm of rain on Wednesday.
There's also a 40 and 50 per cent chance of storms delivering up to 4mm on Friday and 2mm on Saturday, respectively.
The BoM's seven-day forecast for Dubbo as of Tuesday morning also told of a 30 per cent chance of a storm in the afternoon.
It is forecasting a 50 per cent chance of showers on Thursday and a 20 per cent chance of showers on Sunday.
Fine weather is expected on Monday.
Average rainfall in Dubbo during October is 45.6mm.
The 25-year record for the wettest October belongs to 2005 when 112mm was collected by the automatic weather station at Dubbo City Regional Airport.
