Last week we reported on the first anniversary of the movement that has helped bush businesses across the country, first through the drought and then through the tough times of the covid-19 pandemic.
Now we have some more exciting news from them.
Buy From The Bush has launched an online marketplace, backed by PayPal, in a chapter that's all about long-term sustainable support for rural communities.
The Australian arm of PayPal sponsors the Buy From The Bush emporium, giving rural businesses the ability to sell their products directly online.
Last Christmas PayPal supported Buy From The Bush through its Christmas campaign, and since then a 'really good' working relationship has emerged.
The new marketplace gives businesses across the region the ability to reach customers not only within the country, but throughout the world.
And it's a boost that bush businesses - especially those who haven't been able to explore the wider market - need at the moment.
Things have been tough for small businesses over the past few years. The drought, followed by covid-19, has seen many struggle.
Now, this little extra support is another lifeline that these businesses can use to cling back to strength.
More than 250 small businesses have already signed up to the marketplace, among them entrepreneurs from Dubbo and the Orana region.
Mrs Brennan told our reporter Faye Wheeler the online marketplace was the next step "in ensuring we're providing long-term support for rural communities and really connecting the city and the bush."
It's some great news for the group, and for the businesses supported by Buy From The Bush.
