The Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre will be turned into a beachside holiday destination next month and tickets are already selling fast.
Magic Beach, based on the children's book by Alison Lester, tells the story of a family's everyday beach holiday. But, at Magic Beach everything siblings Lucy, Sally and Danny imagine becomes real.
Real-life days intertwine with the make-believe adventures of battling dragons, defending castles and hoarding treasure, but 11-year-old Sally is growing up and trying to figure out if it's time for her to leave the magic behind.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
The show has already proved popular.
DRTCC manager Linda Christof said two shows have already sold out and only limited seats are available for the third.
"This heartwarming and entertaining production will make children smile and encourage their creativity," Ms Christof said.
"Due to high demand we have added an extra performance, with two already at capacity. In addition to local school children, we have school groups travelling from Condobolin, Coonamble, Warren, Tottenham, Goolma and Wongarbon, so it's safe to say the production is a highly-anticipated event.
"The 12 noon performance on Tuesday, November 24 is a relaxed performance, and we have a Visual Story available for download on our website".
Tickets are available from the DRTCC website or box office.
