There will be more than 2500 artists performing across 1000 gigs as part of the NSW government's initiative.
Two Dubbo venues are taking part: The Establishment Bar and Devil's Hollow Brewery.
The Establishment Bar will host two gigs, one with Blake O'Connor and another with Lisa Richards, while Devil's Hollow will feature Blue Sherlock, Rebecca & Emma and Eraser on one weekend, and then One Proud Monkey, Killing Time and Civil Hands on another.
But more Great Southern Nights gigs will also be held further afield.

Bourke isn't missing out on the action either. Jarred Taylor will play at the Port of Bourke Hotel.
NSW Tourism Minister Stuart Ayres said NSW would come alive with great music in November with gigs taking place in many of the state's best music venues, pubs, bars, bowling clubs and wineries. He said there was a gig spanning every genre and destination.
"The NSW government is proud to be getting artists, roadies, venues, hospitality staff and tourism businesses back to work through this ambitious initiative and now it's over to the public to show their support by booking tickets to a gig or two, or more," Mr Ayres said.
Great Southern Nights is being delivered by Destination NSW in partnership with the Australian Recording Industry Association.
ARIA chief executive officer Dan Rosen said the program was coming at a critical time for the industry.
"This is an extremely important moment for the Australian music industry," Mr Rosen said.
"Great Southern Nights is an innovative and effective way of getting artists back on stages safely and ensuring money starts flowing back through the live music ecosystem - to artists, venues, agents, tour managers and sound and lighting crew.
"We can't wait to see the shows getting under way from November 5."
Gigs will also be played in locations like Bathurst, Orange, Cowra, Lithgow and Mudgee.
Feature artists playing in major cities include Tones & I, Jessica Mauboy, Jimmy Barnes, Ian Moss, Matt Corby, Amy Shark and Shannon Noll.
