With a number of horses spelling Mulholland has only had a handful of starters in recent months but at Bathurst the country cup specialist will have Universal Thief and Athena's Lad begin new preparations.
Both will be in action in the TLE Electrical and Data Supplies Class 3 Handicap (1200m).
Universal Thief hasn't raced in 18 weeks but scored two wins and four seconds last preparation while Athena's Lad, with a record of two wins from five starts, last raced on June 1.
Kath Bell-Pitomac will ride Universal Thief while Anthony Cavallo will be in the saddle of Athena's Lad.
That race at Bathurst will also feature Dubbo trainer Michael Lunn's Proudest Moment and the hulking hometown hope Speed Camera, from the stables of Wanda Ings.
Speed Camera is also returning from a spell and heads in having scored a scorching trial victory at Orange.
The Smart Missile six-year-old is the top benchmark runner in the event and ticks several boxes for the Bathurst trainer.
Speed Camera has won two of her previous four first up runs, looks in excellent condition after her six month break from racing and she put everyone on notice with a trial win at cruising speed.
Ings is pleased with the work her mare has been putting in leading up to her comeback run.
"She's been coming along beautifully. I don't normally give her two trials but she was a bit big in her condition after the first one and she went super in her next one at Orange," she said.
"We didn't feel ready to throw her in the deep end after the first trial. Then in her next one Mathew Cahill he wouldn't have been able to make her run any slower if he wanted.
"She's a monster of a mare - so much so that she almost looks like a stallion. Her rating means she does deserve the weight but she should easily be able to carry it."
Dubbo trainer Garry and Dar Lunn and Brian Young will also feature at the eight-race meeting.
