Hewitt scored a winning double at Dubbo recently while there has also been plenty of success at his home track of Bathurst.
But Wednesday was a real career highlight as he won four races and also scored a pair of quinellas.
While Hewitt was not quite able to emulate his feats of March 9, 2005, when landing five winners at the old Sportsground Paceway, Wednesday was the second time four members of his team saluted at the current track since it opened in 2014.
On January 23, 2019 he had four winners and on Wednesday night he did that again.
Hewitt steered Talk About Lexy ($3.60) to victory in the opening race and quinellaed the third as son Doug won aboard The Mustang ($3.30 favourite) and he drove Dashofluck ($9.50) to second.
The father and son enjoyed another quinella when Infinity Beach ($1.20) beat home stablemate Ulaanbaatar ($5), while Always Bopping, with Bernie Hewitt in the gig, got the job done as a $1.55 favourite.
It was a bit of luck which saw the streak begin in the TAB Odds and Evens Pace (1730m) when favourite Burns Bay ($1.90) galloped out.
Hewitt was able to cross from barrier five to take the lead with three-year-old filly Talk About Lexy.
"He's know for having a gallop, so I thought if I could come off pretty quick it would test him. I got a good start, he was immediately under pressure and galloped," Hewitt said.
"I thought if she led she'd be very hard to beat, which is what happened. I thought it was worth having a real dig for the lead, but as it turned out I didn't have to go hard for too long at all."
