Tax Help is a network of ATO-trained and accredited community volunteers who provide a free and confidential service to help people complete their tax returns online using myTax. Tax Help is suitable for people earning around $60,000 or less a year with fairly straightforward tax affairs. The 2020 Tax Help program is delivered differently, either over the phone or online with assistance. To check your eligibility and find out what you need to bring visit www.ato.gov.au/taxhelp. Celebrate Children's Book Week 17-23 October at Dubbo and Wellington branches
Every year, Macquarie Regional Library celebrates Australian children's authors, illustrators and their books for Children's Book Council of Australia's Book Week awards. Every child who borrows any item from the library during Book Week receives an entry in the Book Week competition to win a book pack! To enter children need to borrow items from the library between 17 - 23 October, complete an entry form and leave in the entry box. Code Club returns to Dubbo Library
Code Club is an exciting free five week coding course for children 9-12 years old. The club aims to provide children with the skills, confidence and opportunity to be tomorrow's inventors and digital collaborators. Staff encourage children to help each other to learn how to code and program using a range of programs, robotics and emerging technologies. The program is run in accordance with NSW Health Orders with strict adherence to social distancing and hygiene rules. Bookings are limited to 6 children, parents/caregivers can wait and watch from outside the meeting room. Code Club runs Wednesdays from 4-5pm, commencing 14th October to 11th November 2020.
