A donation from Dubbo PCYC will 'blow away' less fortunate children in third-world countries this Christmas.
Dubbo PCYC Club manager Emily Ross met with Operation Christmas Child shoebox gift appeal, area coordinator Sylvia Paice on Tuesday where she presented Mrs Paice with boxes of lego which will go into the shoeboxes.
Mrs Ross said PCYC is a charity which revolves around empowering young people, and to her, it doesn't matter if those young people are in Australia or another country.
"We were in position this year where we were able to donate. We had some supplies of lego that we had here to donate and I thought it was a perfect fit," Mrs Ross said.
"We would happily see that go to children who need it and provide them with something they may not have ever seen before.
"We are a charity about empowering young people, to me, it doesn't matter if those young people are in Australia or another country."
Mrs Paice said the donation is 'great' and will 'probably blow the kids away.'
"Lots of people do girls boxes and not so much boys boxes, so the lego is especially good for the boys," she said.
"Thank you to PCYC and especially to Emily for being prepared to donate."
