As with most group 11 clubs this year, the Narromine Jets have been eager to keep things more or less the same as the sport endures the buffeting waves of COVID-19.

One thing that will be different when the players return to the fields next year however, will be the man leading the club, with long-time president Archie Harding set to step aside after 12 years in the top job.
Former Jets player, captain, coach and club secretary Michael Burns is set to take over the reins after a decision was made by Harding and the committee last year.
"The COVID situation wasn't a factor in my decision, this was all taken onboard at the AGM last year, I told the club that this would be my last year, I'd already set that goal," Harding said.

"Mick came and spoke to all of us to make sure we were all onboard and we had our meetings and it all turned out really well for the club."
While Harding will still be a regular fixture on the Jets commitee, he won't be completely absent from the club's leadership, instead taking on a personal goal that's been in his sights for a long time.
"Before I was president we had our old boys club which I ran for about eight years, when I stepped over to the presidency, no one took over that role and kept the old boys going," Harding said.
"I've been talking to a few of them, the old boys, and they all think it's a great idea to get it all started up again; it would be great for us to give them a chance to have them all around, sitting and talking, having a couple of beers and a giggle."
To that end, Harding is hoping to set up a proper facility at the club's home ground for the restarted old boys club and has already begun preparations.
"I've got some ideas to build a facility at the grounds where we can congregate, but I've got to put in an application to Narromine council for that."
Despite the changes, and the rocky waters of the 2020 year having taken their toll on clubs across the Central West, the club is expecting big returns on investment next year.
"It's all going really good for the club right now, it does always come down to our player numbers with us being a smaller town, but a few of our players hopped over to union this year just to get some footy in and that second grade side went undefeated," Harding said.
"I think the year off and a bit of a rest for the guys, they'll really be ready for a big season in 2021."
While Harding was clear that he wasn't going to be vanishing from the club scene anytime soon, he was quick to thank all who'd helped make his presidency so enjoyable.
"All the committee members and all the coaches, without their help, I wouldn't have been able to do some of the things that we've done, so I'd like to thank all of them and everyone who's helped out."
